Cummins Pays $2.1M for Selling Engines Without Exhaust Controls (Environment News Service)

, February 23, 2010 (ENS) – Cummins Engine Co. Inc., a publicly-traded motor vehicle engine company based in Columbus, Indiana, will pay a $2.1 million penalty and recall 405 engines under a settlement agreement to resolve violations of the Clean Air Act, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the Justice Department announced Monday.
